Part-time non-medical eligible team members can enroll in CLEAR Benefits when they change from part-time to full-time. A Benefit Event will automatically launch in Workday once your promotion is processed.
When is my deadline to enroll?
You will have 30 days from the date of your status change to enroll.
When does coverage start?
The effective date of your CLEAR Benefits coverage will coincide with the date of your status change. You will be responsible for any deductions for elected benefits starting on the date of your job change.
How do I enroll in benefits?
Login to Workday and navigate to the Benefit Event in your Workday inbox.
Field team members: please speak with your manager or email fieldhr@clearme.com if you cannot access your account.
Important Information:
Use the guide HERE for step-by-step instructions.
Once completed, your coverage may take up to 1 week to become active with our insurance carriers.
Important note for anyone enrolling new dependent(s): you will need to submit supporting documentation (i.e. marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.) to The Benefits Help Desk at CLEARbenefits@onesourcevirtual.com.
If you are moving to/from/within California, Hawaii or Puerto Rico and are enrolled in CLEAR's medical plan, you must submit a benefit event in Workday to maintain health insurance through CLEAR. You will have 30 days from your transfer date to complete the benefits event in Workday.
The below instructions apply for the following scenarios:
You are moving to California, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico
You are moving to a different state from California, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico
You are transferring to or away from the SFO airport
You are moving between Southern California (LAX, SAN, PSP, SNA, ONT, LGB) and Northern California (SJC, SMF, OAK)
California and Hawaii team members are only eligible for Kaiser medical plans.
Non-California team members are eligible for United Healthcare (UHC) and, in some regions, Kaiser.
Puerto Rico team members are only eligible for the Triple S Medical Plan.
After the People Team has processed your transfer in Workday, you must change your address and submit a life event in Workday.
An address change requires approval from your people partner. Once approved, you will need to initiate a Benefit Event.
To initiate a Benefit Event in Workday, follow these steps: HERE
Important Information:
When submitting your life event, select Moved Out of Area as the reason
Effective date of coverage: You should submit your life event with an effective date corresponding to your actual move date (not transfer date). If you are not moving and instead transferring stations within CA, you will want to put in your transfer date.
Cost of coverage: Please note that your cost of coverage may change with your transfer. Costs changes will be effective on the date of the life event.
How to change your address in Workday:
Step 1: Log in to Workday
Step 2: Click the Menu on the top left
Step 3: Click on Personal Information
Step 4: Click on Addresses > then Edit (top left)
Step 5: Click the pencil icon to begin editing your address
Step 6: Enter your new street address, city, state, and zip code.
Step 7: Click the blue Submit button. (You will have to click submit twice to acknowledge the tax change prompt)
If you are transferring from a location in one of the states listed above, local laws may require PTO (Paid Time Off) to be paid out upon separation*. Therefore, the PTO you earned while employed at your old location will be put into an OLD PTO plan, which will not accrue. The PTO you accrue during employment at your new location will be in the PTO bucket.
You will be required to use all PTO hours in the OLD PTO plan before using the hours in the PTO bucket.
