Healthcare Benefits - Enrollment Required
Newly hired members have 30 days from their hire date to submit their benefit elections.
Non-California Residents: United Healthcare Medical
CLEAR offers a choice of three medical plans through United Healthcare. All three plans provide 100% coverage for in-network preventive services and access to expert medical care.

Pharmacy Benefits Provided by Express Scripts
All UHC medical plans come with pharmacy coverage, but the coverage is provided by a different insurance company, Express Scripts, Inc (ESI). To learn more about ESI Pharmacy Benefits visit the Express Scripts page
Team Member Contribution Rates:
Salaried, exempt (not eligible for overtime) team members are paid semi-monthly
Hourly & salaried non-exempt team members are paid biweekly
California Residents: Kaiser Medical
If you work in the state of California, you are eligible to enroll in our Kaiser Medical Plans. We currently offer three different plan options:
Bronze Plan: $4,500 individual deductible
Silver Plan: $2,000 individual deductible
Gold Plan: $0 Deductible
Under these plans, you must use Kaiser doctors, pharmacies, and facilities, and your specialty care is subject to referrals from your primary care physician.

Dental Insurance (Delta Dental)
CLEAR offers a choice of two dental plans through Delta Dental. Both plans provide coverage for routine exams, x-rays, orthodontia services, cleanings, fillings, and major dental work (e.g., crowns, bridges).

Vision Insurance (EyeMed)
You have a choice of electing vision benefits through EyeMed. The most generous benefits are available when you use a doctor in the EyeMed network, but the plan also offers limited out-of-network benefits.

How to Enroll in Healthcare Benefits

Enrolling in Healthcare Benefits
To submit your new hire benefit elections, log in to Workday and submit your new benefits. You may follow the directions below or use the step-by-step GUIDE HERE
NOTE: You cannot access Workday until you start employment with CLEAR.
Workday Instructions for enrolling in benefits:
Login to Workday through Okta
Click on Go to My Tasks in the Awaiting Your Action box.
Click on the blue Let's Get Started button.
The benefits enrollment page will open
Click Enroll on each tile
Click Select for the specific plan option you wish to enroll in.
Click Confirm and Continue
Add a dependent using these instructions or click Save.
Repeat this process for each tile.
Once you get to the last page, BE SURE to click SUBMIT. If you do not click Submit, we will not receive your elections, which could result in your request for coverage being denied.
Enrolling Dependents
You must submit documents verifying your dependent's relationship to us within your first 30 days of employment.
Acceptable documents include:
Spouse: Marriage License
Domestic partners:
Certificate of Domestic Partnership, or
Completion of CLEAR's Declaration of Domestic Partnership Attestation in place of a formal DP Certificate
Child(ren):
Birth Certificate
Proof of Legal Guardianship
Decree of Adoption

How do I enroll in Benefits outside of Workday?
401(k) Retirement Plan - You will be eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan after 90 days of employment. You will be auto-enrolled at 3% on your 91st day of employment. Learn more about enrolling in the plan here.
Optum Financial Pre-Tax Commuter - Use pre-tax dollars for monthly parking or public transit expenses. Please follow the instructions here (LINK) to enroll directly with Optum Financial. Enrollment in this benefit is available one week after your start date.
Legal Shield + ID Shield - LegalShield provides legal protection, identity theft monitoring, document review services, and estate planning resources. IDShield specializes in identity protection, monitoring, and assisting with identity fraud issues. Learn more about enrolling in the plans here.
Pet, Home, & Auto Insurance - CLEAR offers voluntary pet insurance through Nationwide, covering dogs, cats, birds, and exotic pets with prices varying by pet type, chosen plan, and state of residence. CLEAR also offers voluntary Auto & Home coverage through Farmer's. These products provide coverage for your property with generous group discounts. Liability protection is also provided. How Do I Change my Elections?
Within your first 30 days, you may change your benefit elections anytime.
If you have submitted your elections in Workday, please contact the Benefits Help Desk to make changes.

When Do Benefits Begin?
Corporate Team Members: benefits will be effective on your date of hire.
All team members have 30 days from their date of hire to submit their benefit elections.
For step-by-step benefit enrollment instructions please use the
Corporate team members: If you submit your benefit elections after the effective date, they will retro to the effective date.
What Dependents are Eligible?
Eligible dependents include:
Spouse: your legal spouse to whom you are lawfully married and not legally separated.
Domestic partner: an individual of the same sex or opposite sex with whom you’re in a domestic partnership, civil union, or other similar formal relationship that’s not a marriage under state law.
Children: up to age 26, plus disabled dependent children of any age who meet plan criteria.
Supporting Documentation:
Supporting documentation will be required to enroll your eligible dependents and must be submitted within 30 days of your hire date or qualifying life event. Acceptable forms of documentation include:
Spouse: marriage certificate
Domestic partner: completion of the Declaration of Domestic Partnership form
Child: birth certificate, decree of adoption, or proof of legal guardianship.

How do I view my current Benefit Elections?
Corporate team members: log in to Workday through Okta
Click on Benefits and Pay in the Your Top Apps box.
Click on the Benefits drop-down menu on the left side of the screen
Click on Benefit Elections
After enrolling in CLEAR Benefits
Please allow one week for your benefits enrollment to process and your coverage to become active with our insurance carriers. Once your coverage is active, please refer to the ID Card & Online Access page for creating an account with our various insurance carriers to access your digital ID card, conduct a provider search, view claims and more.
