A change in your situation — like getting married, having a baby, or losing health coverage — can make you eligible for a Qualified Life Event, allowing you to make benefit changes outside the yearly Open Enrollment Period.
Qualifying Life Events (QLE)
Below is a detailed list of life events that qualify for benefit changes outside of open enrollment.
Health Coverage Changes
Loss or gain of eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, Outside private insurance, or CHIP
Turning 26 and losing coverage through a parent’s plan
Voluntary Cancellation (choosing to drop CLEAR's coverage because you are already enrolled with an external provider)
Spouse Adds Coverage (therefore, you will enroll in an outside plan and drop CLEAR's coverage)
Spouse Loss Coverage (adding to your benefit plan(s) at CLEAR)
Dependent Loss Coverage (adding to your benefit plan(s) at CLEAR)
Dependent Adds Coverage (removing from your benefit plan(s) at CLEAR)
Household Changes
Marriage
Divorce / legal separation
Birth / Adoption
Death of a covered dependent
Moving to/from California, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico - see the Promotions & Transfers page for more details.

How to submit your Qualifying Life Event in Workday
You will have 30 days from the life event date to submit your benefit elections in Workday and provide supporting documentation to The Benefits Help Desk at CLEARbenefits@onesourcevirtual.com. Failure to comply with this 30-day deadline will result in your request being denied.
If you experience a life event and wish to change your benefits, you must log in to Workday to submit your new benefit elections.

Submitting proof of your Qualifying Life Event
You must submit proof you experienced a qualifying life event in the last 30 days. Failure to comply with this deadline will result in your request being denied. Please submit supporting documentation to The Benefits Help Desk at CLEARbenefits@onesourcevirtual.com

Health Coverage Changes:
Current Medical Insurance Card (Gain of eligibility, outside coverage, dependent or spouse adds coverage)
Notice of cancellation/COBRA documents (Turning 26, dependent or spouse loss of coverage)
Household Changes:
Signed Declaration of Domestic Partnership form / State-certified domestic partnership affidavit (Domestic Partnership)
Marriage license /Divorce Decree/ Legal Separation Documents (Marriage, new domestic partnership, divorce, or legal separation)
Birth Certificate/ Adoption Decree/ Legal Custody Order (Birth, adoption, legal guardianship)
Transfer job offer letter/ People partner approval (Moving to/from California )
Certificate of Naturalization/Resident Alien ID Card/Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (Moving from another country/ Becoming a US citizen)
For Newborns: Dependent verification documents for newborns may take some time to arrive. We recommend using a dummy social security number (i.e.,123-54-6789) to meet the 30-day enrollment window requirement.
Please upload a copy of the birth certificate once it is received.
You will also need to email benefits@clearme.com to update the child's social security number was received.
Other Qualifying Events:
Promotion offer letter (Increase in Hours PT to FT promotion)
Failure to provide the required documentation will result in the denial of your qualified life event, and no changes will be made.
